22 - 25 September, Estonia

Join Precilience team of forest pathology and forest management researchers  for a field trip to Estonia to explore forest damages that is less frequent in the Nordic countries, and develop skills in identifying e.g. Lecanosticta acicola and Dothistroma septosporum in the field.

Co-organised with the SNS-funded  network TolerantTree, the excursion will offer a platform for discussing forest management and regeneration approaches, including continuous cover forestry (CCF) and mixed-species planting, and their role in supporting long-term forest health and resilience.

Participation is free of charge. Travel expenses are the responsibility of each participant. Early-career researchers (ECRs) may apply for a TolerantTree travel grant to cover their costs.

SNS (Nordic Forest Research, or SamNordisk Skogsforskning) is is a cooperating body, financed with Nordic funds under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers that strives to enhance benefits for the Nordic region and contribute to a sustainable society. (https://nordicforestresearch.org)
